Utilizing the Writing Center in your Course
Stacy Dean, Director of Writing Services, will provide a 30-minute noontime webinar “Utilizing the Writing Center in your Course.”
Description: In addition to free, one-on-one writing support, the Writing Centers provide a variety of online resources for students and faculty. This webinar will provide an overview of the Writing Centers’ services, and then offer ideas for promoting use of the Writing Center and incorporating our handouts and modules into your course’s learning activities.

Teaching Students to Write for an Audience
Have you ever had students submit a written assignment that missed the mark? One that didn’t align with the audience you had in mind? It’s a common problem that many of us experience.

Description: Understanding an audience’s needs and expectations is essential to effective writing. In this webinar, participants will learn how to craft assignment descriptions and low-stakes writing activities that help students apply an audience to their writing.
